Roofstock Executives to Lead Panels at IMN Single-Family Rental Forum

Tuesday, May 28, 2019 HOLLYWOOD, FL — Gary Beasley, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Rich Ford, Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer, and Clayton Wyatt, Vice President of Business Development at Roofstock, the leading marketplace for single-family rental (SFR) investment properties, will be leading panels at the IMN Single-Family Rental Forum (East) in Hollywood, FL, from May 29 to May 31.    

Beasley will moderate the Large SFR “C-Level” Acquisitions & Finance panel, which will focus on the outlook for the SFR space, including themes around industry consolidation, market attributes, collaborations with institutional investors, and internal growth plans. Beasley will also participate in an additional panel on the broader state of the SFR industry, delving into the impact of the market, political implications and influence, and the increasingly expensive labor market. 

Ford will be leading a panel on iBuyers & Valuation Automation, which will highlight specific investment strategy and business models, target returns, markets of emphasis, and the competitive nature of the iBuyer market, among other topics. Wyatt will host a panel on the real-life case studies of opportunity zones, speaking with executives that are actively navigating the new legislation, mitigating risk, and balancing the legal intricacies and tax issues that have arisen.

Gary Beasley has spent most of his career building businesses in real estate, hospitality, and tech sectors. Immediately before starting Roofstock, he led one of the largest single-family rental platforms in the US through its IPO as co-CEO of Starwood Waypoint Residential Trust, now part of Invitation Homes. He also spent five years as CFO of online brokerage pioneer ZipRealty, which he lead through its successful IPO in 2004. Beasley will be joined on the “C-Level” panel by representatives from Amherst Residential, VineBrook Homes, LLC, Voyager Pacific Capital, and Yellowbird Home Buyers.

A former investment banker with more than 20 years of M&A and capital raising experience, Rich Ford is highly regarded as one of the first to embrace the single-family rental sector as an institutional asset class. He has held positions at Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, the Royal Bank of Canada and Jefferies Group LLC prior to joining Roofstock as Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer. Ford will speak to executives from Entera, Invitation Homes, Offerpad, Marketplace Homes and Zillow Group during his panel on the iBuyers.

With over ten years spanning various roles across the real estate industry, from brokerage to investment banking, Clayton Wyatt has a proven track record in real estate capital markets. Prior to joining Roofstock in 2019 as Vice President of Business Development, Wyatt previously held roles at Alliant Asset Management, Jefferies, VEREIT, Inc., Velocity Retail Group, and The Staubach Company. An expert on opportunity zones, Wyatt will be joined on his panel by professionals from PIA Group USA, Real Wealth Network, The Promise Homes Company, and GTIS Partners.
